Duo Sutera Novali is a project of improvisation and instant composition born in a musical research environment with the purpose of deepening the expressive potential of non-idiomatic improvisation, focused on the here and now of the performance and the search for sound identity.

“The music develops delicately in sections in which the proximity with composition is so tangible that this improvised music seems to be written. The inspired musicians draw their influences from Béla Bartók to Conlon Nancarrow with freshness and audacity. The quality of the recording gives a real presence to the instruments, the sound image is balanced and the identity of each instrument is perfectly reproduced here, giving a feeling of proximity with the performers. Thank you very much for sharing your work with me.”
