The third record by outstanding duo formed by Marta Raviglia and Tony Cattano is out on Aut Records! For the first time, Vocione has produced a live album and, for this very special occasion, Marta and Tony invited some wonderful musicians and friends to join them. 'Left Hand Theory' was recorded live in one of the most beautiful and exciting jazz club in the world, Il Torrione in Ferrara (Italy).
The Left Hand Theory may seem a nonsense theory, but that is far from being true. It comes from the inner need of doing things from a different angle and it is based more on excavating rather than on accumulating. This excavation process may lead to a consistent change in those who follow its guidelines – certainties are not for the brave and so you go on experimenting with or without a frame, both in familiar and unfamiliar settings.
Vocione loves challenges very much and this is why its members keep on going for the unknown and this is also the reason why this theory seems to fit their poetics so well.
